Drive safari and domestic flight to Zanzibar
Tarangire, Ngorongoro Crater, Zanzibar
This 6-day safari links two very different sides of Tanzania in a practicality. The first half part of the tour focuses on wildlife and long game drives through Tarangire and the Ngorongoro Crater, where the pace of the trip follows the movement of animals and changing terrain. Tarangire brings large elephant herds, ancient baobabs, and dry season wildlife concentrations, while the crater offers one of the country’s most reliable settings for predator sightings within a 260 km² caldera floor. The final part of the itinerary shifts to Zanzibar, where the atmosphere slows considerably after several days on safari.
After Breakfast At The Hotel, We Leave The City Behind And Enter An Open Country Dotted With Maasai Settlements, Roadside Markets, And Scattered Acacia Woodland Before Reaching Tarangire National Park. Covering Roughly 2,850 Km², The Park Is Known For Its Dry Season Elephant Gatherings And Dense Concentration Of Baobab Trees That Dominate Parts Of The Landscape.
Game Viewing Usually Begins Shortly After Entering The Gate, With Chances Of Spotting Giraffes, Buffaloes, Zebras, Warthogs, And Predators Resting Near Seasonal Riverbeds. Around Midday, Lunch Is Enjoyed At A Designated Picnic Site Overlooking The Tarangire River. The Late Afternoon Often Becomes More Active Near Water Sources Before The Drive Continues To The Lodge For Dinner And A Quieter Evening Under The African Open Skies.

Tarangire Safari Lodge
The Morning Starts At A Slower Pace With Another Short Game Drive Through Tarangire Before Leaving The Park Before Afternoon And Continuing Toward The Ngorongoro Highlands. Wildlife Activity Is Usually Rewarding In The Earlier Hours, Particularly Near The River Where Animals Remain Active Before Temperatures Rise.
By Late Morning, The Tour Turns Toward The Cooler Highlands Near Karatu, Passing The Outer Escarpments Of The Crater Region. Lunch Is Served At The Lodge After Arrival, Allowing Time To Rest Before An Afternoon Visit To A Nearby Coffee Farm Or Local Community Project Depending On Timing And Preference. The Elevation Here Changes The Atmosphere Completely From The Previous Day, With Cooler Air And Thick Vegetation Surrounding Part Of The Region.

Ngorongoro Farm House
An Early Descent Into The Crater Gives The Best Chance Of Seeing Predators Before Most Vehicles Arrive From The Rim. The Ngorongoro Crater Measures About 610 Mts Deep And Supports Wildlife Year-Round Due To Permanent Water Availability On The Crater Floor.
The Morning Game Drive May Include Lions Resting Near The Road, Spotted Hyenas Returning From Night Activity, Large Buffalo Herds, Hippos, And Flocks Of Flamingos Near Lake Magadi. Rhino Sightings Remain Possible Here, Although Never Guaranteed. Lunch Is Usually Taken At A Designated Picnic Site Near The Hippo Pool, Where Kites And Other Scavenging Birds Are Common Around Parked Vehicles. After Several Hours On The Crater Floor, You Return To The Lodge For Dinner And Preparation For The Following Day’s Flight To Zanzibar.

Upon Arrival In Zanzibar, The Climate Changes Immediately, With Humid Coastal Air Replacing The Cool Temperatures Of The Crater Highlands. A Representative From The Hotel Meets You At The Airport For The Transfer To The Beach Resort. The Remainder Of The Day Stays Open For Rest After Several Days On Safari. You Can Choose To Walk Along The Beach Before Sunset Or Stay At The Hotel And Enjoy The Quieter Pace Of The Island. Dinner Is Served At The Resort In The Evening.
