The safari starts from Arusha after an early breakfast and briefing before driving south west toward Tarangire National Park. Covering roughly 2,850 square kilometres, the park is famous for its old baobab trees and large concentration of elephants, particularly during the dry months. Wildlife activity often builds steadily through the morning, with sightings of giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, warthogs, and antelope appearing near water sources and open areas. Lunch is taken at a designated picnic site inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive deeper into Tarangire’s remote sections. By late afternoon, the drive exits the park and continues toward Karatu, where the evening settles in with dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Wildlife Sightings Frequently Begin Before Reaching The Central Area, Particularly Around Rocky Kopjes Where Lions And Smaller Predators Spend Time During The Hotter Hours. A Packed Lunch Is Served During The Drive Before Continuing Deeper Into Central Serengeti, Also Known As Seronera, An Area Recognised For Year Round Wildlife Activity And Reliable Cat Sightings. The Late Afternoon Game Drive Follows River Channels And Open Plains Before Reaching Camp In Time For Hot Showers, Dinner, And A Relaxing Evening.

A Final Morning Game Drive In Central Serengeti Takes Place Before Departing The Park Later In The Day. Wildlife Encounters Often Continue Unexpectedly Along The Transit Route, Particularly With Hyenas, Elephants, And Large Herds Of Plains Game Feeding Near The Road. The Drive Gradually Returns Toward The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, With Changing Scenery Replacing Open Plains With Cooler Highland Terrain.
Lunch Is Served At A Picnic Site During The Journey Before Continuing Toward The Crater Rim Area. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Covers Roughly 8,292 Sq Km And Supports Both Wildlife Protection And Maasai Pastoral Life Within The Same Landscape. By Late Afternoon, The Vehicle Reaches The Lodge In The Highlands Where Cooler Temperatures And Forest Surroundings Create A Completely Different Atmosphere From Serengeti. Dinner Is Served At The Lodge Before Overnight.

The Morning Starts With An Early Descent Into The Ngorongoro Crater For A Half Day Game Drive On The Crater Floor. Formed From A Collapsed Volcanic Caldera, The Area Measures Approximately 260 Sq Km And Supports Year Round Wildlife Due To Permanent Water Availability And Rich Grazing Grounds. Sightings Commonly Include Buffaloes, Zebras, Hippos, Hyenas, And Large Predators Within Relatively Short Driving Distances. Lunch Is Served At The Designated Picnic Site Near The Hippo Pool Before Ascending The Crater Walls And Continuing Toward Lake Eyasi.
The Landscape Changes Noticeably During The Drive, Becoming Drier And More Remote Approaching The Lake Region. Arrival Takes Place In The Late Afternoon With Time To Rest At The Lodge Before Dinner. The Evening Is Usually Quiet Here, With Fewer Vehicles And A More Rural Atmosphere Than The Northern Parks.

Lodge Near Lake Eyasi
Today Focuses On Cultural Activities Around Lake Eyasi With Visits To The Hadzabe And Datoga Communities. The Hadzabe Are Among The Few Remaining Hunter Gatherer Groups In East Africa And Continue To Practise Traditional Bush Survival Methods, Including Hunting With Handmade Bows And Gathering Wild Roots, Fruits, And Honey. The Datoga Community, Known For Blacksmithing And Cattle Keeping, Offers Another Perspective On Local Life Here.
The Visits Take Place Respectfully With Guidance From Local Interpreters And Community Representatives. After The Cultural Programme, Lunch Is Arranged At The Lodge Before Beginning The Drive Back To Arusha Through The Rift Valley Escarpment And Farming Villages Near Karatu. Arrival In Arusha Is Expected By Late Afternoon Or Early Evening For Dinner And Overnight At The Hotel.

The Safari Portion Of This 8-Day Tour Concludes This Morning With A Scheduled Flight From Arusha To Zanzibar. Upon Arrival, Transfer Continues To The East Coast Where The Pace Changes Considerably From The Previous Safari Days. The Afternoon Remains Open For Rest After The Flight, Swimming, Or A Walk Along The Shoreline During Low Tide When Local Fishing Boats And Seaweed Farms Become More Visible. Zanzibar’s Eastern Coastline Faces The Indian Ocean Directly And Experiences Stronger Tidal Movement Than The Northern Beaches, Creating Long Stretches Of Exposed White Sand During Certain Hours Of The Day. Lunch Is Served At The Beach Resort Followed By Free Time Through The Afternoon. Dinner Is Arranged At The Resort, With The Evening Usually Spent By The Ocean Before Overnight.
