The safari starts from Arusha after an early breakfast and briefing before driving south west toward Tarangire National Park. Covering roughly 2,850 square kilometres, the park is famous for its old baobab trees and large concentration of elephants, particularly during the dry months. Lunch is taken at a designated picnic site inside the park before continuing with an afternoon game drive deeper into Tarangire’s remote sections. The Drive Gradually Returns Toward The Ngorongoro Conservation Area, With Changing Scenery Replacing Open Plains With Cooler Highland Terrain.
Lunch Is Served At A Picnic Site During The Journey Before Continuing Toward The Crater Rim Area. The Ngorongoro Conservation Area Covers Roughly 8,292 Sq Km And Supports Both Wildlife Protection And Maasai Pastoral Life Within The Same Landscape. By Late Afternoon, The Vehicle Reaches The Lodge In The Highlands Where Cooler Temperatures And Forest Surroundings Create A Completely Different Atmosphere From Serengeti. The Morning Starts With An Early Descent Into The Ngorongoro Crater For A Half Day Game Drive On The Crater Floor. Formed From A Collapsed Volcanic Caldera, The Area Measures Approximately 260 Sq Km And Supports Year Round Wildlife Due To Permanent Water Availability And Rich Grazing Grounds. Sightings Commonly Include Buffaloes, Zebras, Hippos, Hyenas, And Large Predators Within Relatively Short Driving Distances. Lunch Is Served At The Designated Picnic Site Near The Hippo Pool Before Ascending The Crater Walls And Continuing Toward Lake Eyasi.
The Landscape Changes Noticeably During The Drive, Becoming Drier And More Remote Approaching The Lake Region. Arrival Takes Place In The Late Afternoon With Time To Rest At The Lodge Before Dinner. The Evening Is Usually Quiet Here, With Fewer Vehicles And A More Rural Atmosphere Than The Northern Parks.

Today Focuses On Cultural Activities Around Lake Eyasi With Visits To The Hadzabe And Datoga Communities. The Hadzabe Are Among The Few Remaining Hunter Gatherer Groups In East Africa And Continue To Practise Traditional Bush Survival Methods, Including Hunting With Handmade Bows And Gathering Wild Roots, Fruits, And Honey. The Datoga Community, Known For Blacksmithing And Cattle Keeping, Offers Another Perspective On Local Life Here.
The Visits Take Place Respectfully With Guidance From Local Interpreters And Community Representatives. After The Cultural Programme, Lunch Is Arranged At The Lodge Before Beginning The Drive Back To Arusha Through The Rift Valley Escarpment And Farming Villages Near Karatu.
