A Morning Flight From Zanzibar Brings You To Arusha Where Your Safari Guide Receives You For The Drive Toward Tarangire National Park. The Park Covers Roughly 2,850 Sq Km And Is Widely Recognised For Its Old Baobab Trees, Large Elephant Population, And Seasonal Concentration Of Wildlife Near The Tarangire River. You Pass Through The Ngorongoro Highlands Before Descending Into The Wider Serengeti Ecosystem, An Area Extending Close To 14,763 Sq Km. Wildlife Sightings Often Begin Well Before Reaching The Central Part Of The Park, With Scattered Groups Of Antelope, Giraffes, And Predators Along The Road Networks. Lunch Is Carried As Packed Meals And Served At A Public Picnic Site During The Journey. By Afternoon, The Landscape Opens Into Long Grass Plains And Granite Kopjes That Define The Seronera Area. This Section Of The Park Holds Resident Wildlife Throughout Much Of The Year, Including Lions, Hyenas, Cheetahs, And Large Herds Of Herbivores. Arrival At Camp Is Expected Before Sunset.

Today Allows More Time Inside Central Serengeti, Which Usually Improves The Quality Of Game Viewing. The Seronera Region Contains One Of The Highest Concentrations Of Resident Wildlife In The Ecosystem Due To Its Water Sources And Permanent Grazing Grounds. Much Of The Day Is Spent Exploring River Valleys, Kopjes, And Open Plains Where Predators Are Regularly Seen During Different Hours Of The Day.
An Optional Hot Air Balloon Safari Is Available This Morning At Extra Cost And Requires Advance Booking. Lunch Is Served At The Lodge Before Returning To The Field For Another Game Drive Later In The Afternoon. Besides The Larger Mammals, The Area Also Supports Secretary Birds, Ostriches, Jackals, And Numerous Smaller Species Often Missed During Shorter Safaris. Dinner Follows Back At Camp In Evening.

The Morning Begins With A Final Game Drive In Serengeti Before Departing Toward Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Wildlife Activity Is Usually Steady During The Cooler Hours, Particularly Around The Seronera Drainage Channels Where Predators Often Remain Active Longer Into The Morning. The Drive Toward Ngorongoro Shifts From Open Plains Into Cooler Highland Terrain With Denser Vegetation And Occasional Maasai Settlements Along The Roadside. Packed Lunch Is Served During The Journey Before Continuing Toward The Crater Rim Area. Ngorongoro Conservation Area Covers Approximately 8,292 Sq Km And Supports Both Wildlife Protection And Pastoral Communities Within The Same Landscape. Arrival At The Lodge Is Normally Scheduled For Late Afternoon, Leaving Enough Time To Rest, Enjoy Views Over The Highlands, And Prepare For The Crater Descent Planned For The Following Day.

Morning Game Viewing May Include Lions, Buffaloes, Spotted Hyenas, Hippos, Zebras, Wildebeests, And, With Luck, Black Rhinos Grazing In The Open Sections Of The Crater. Picnic Lunch Is Served Near The Hippo Pool Before Continuing With Another Short Game Drive During The Afternoon. Compared To The Open Serengeti Plains, Ngorongoro Offers Denser Wildlife Viewing Within Shorter Driving Distances. By Late Afternoon, You Ascend The Crater Road And Continue Toward Karatu For Dinner And Overnight.

The Final Day Remains Relatively Relaxed After Several Long Safari Drives Earlier In The Week. Following Breakfast At The Lodge, You Depart Karatu And Continue Toward Arusha Through The Agricultural Districts Of Northern Tanzania Where Coffee Farms, Roadside Markets, And Small Trading Centres Become More Frequent Along The Highway. Depending On Flight Schedules, There May Be Time For Lunch In Arusha Or A Short Stop For Last Minute Shopping Before Airport Transfer Arrangements. The Drive Also Offers A Clearer Impression Of Daily Local Life. Upon Arrival In Arusha, You Are Transferred Either To Kilimanjaro International Airport For Onward Departure Or To A Hotel Arranged For Post Safari Accommodation.
